Assalamu Alaikum Everyone,

We are deeply touched seeing the helpless people of Bangladesh, the least developed country. Still, many regions of this country lack pure water, proper sanitation, numerous orphans, shortage of food during Ramadan Kareem, humanitarian aid, proper steps for health and wellbeing, disabled people support, and many refugees who need aid too.

Seeing this situation, SPAR, or Society for Participatory Action and Reflection, has been working in the field of humanitarian services since 2009. So that we can provide helpless people with a peaceful life. We can only build a better world if all of us live happily.

Although we know it is very hard to accomplish this task, we try hard every day to do something for the suffering soul. Our teamwork becomes more effective when you join us in this humanitarian project. It becomes very hard for us alone to support those huge amounts of vulnerable people. For this reason, we welcome you to be a part of our human services. Let's advance each day with the vision of serving humanity.

Thank you all!

Jazakallah

Society for Participatory Action and Reflection — has continued its journey of service to humanity with unwavering commitment since its establishment in 2009. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to uplift the most vulnerable in our society — from orphans and people living in poverty to individuals lacking access to clean water, basic health services, and sustainable livelihoods.

At SPAR, our mission has always been rooted in dignity, compassion, and service. Over the past year, we have witnessed how thoughtful action can restore hope for individuals and communities who need it most. The progress we see today is a reflection of our shared belief that humanity thrives when we stand beside one another. At the heart of our mission lies a simple yet profound belief: every human being deserves dignity, hope, and opportunity. In the past year, SPAR's dedicated team and volunteers have reached thousands of individuals across Bangladesh — addressing critical needs including orphan care, disability support, clean water access, health and well-being services, and livelihood empowerment. With donor support, we have helped provide food, education, and shelter; built water sources; and offered emergency relief where it is most needed.

This year's impact reminds us that every initiative—whether small or large—carries the potential to transform lives. From emergency relief to long-term development, our projects have reached families across Bangladesh with support that is meaningful and timely. Our programs have not only provided immediate relief but have also laid the groundwork for long-term change, enabling individuals and families to stand on their own feet with dignity and self-sufficiency. These achievements are the result of dedicated teamwork and the trust our donors place in us.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, the compassion of our volunteers, and the trust of the communities we serve. As we reflect on the progress made, we also look forward to expanding our reach, improving our programs, and deepening our impact in years to come. As we look ahead, we remain committed to building sustainable solutions, strengthening community resilience, and expanding our reach. The journey continues, and with donor partnership, we aim to create even greater change in the years to come. Together, we move forward with hope and purpose.

It gives me immense pleasure and deep satisfaction to be associated with the Society for Participatory Action and Reflection (SPAR) as its Advisor. Working with SPAR has been a meaningful journey, as the organization consistently upholds the values of humanity, compassion, and inclusive development in serving the poor and underprivileged communities of Bangladesh.

I am particularly encouraged by SPAR's multidimensional interventions in critical areas such as sanitation, hygiene, access to safe drinking water, food security through hot meals and community kitchens, and, most importantly, education. These initiatives address fundamental human needs by understanding grassroots realities and lay the foundation for sustainable community development.

Beyond material support, SPAR also recognizes the importance of spiritual well-being and social cohesion. Its contribution to religious and spiritual support through funding for mosques and other religious infrastructure plays a vital role in strengthening community bonds, moral values, and inner resilience.

My involvement in the education sector through SPAR gives me immense personal satisfaction. I feel especially fulfilled by being engaged in the education of a poor community on Moheshkhali Island. Witnessing the hope, curiosity, and potential in the children there reinforces my belief that education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and building a brighter future.

I look forward to contributing to SPAR's strategic planning and future growth, helping the organization expand its impact through thoughtful vision, strong governance, and sustainable programs. I firmly believe that SPAR has the potential to evolve further as a model of community-driven development.

I sincerely appreciate the dedication of SPAR's leadership, staff, volunteers, and partners. I remain optimistic that SPAR will continue to grow in strength and reach, touching more lives and contributing meaningfully to a more equitable and humane society.

MD. Sujait Ullah Bhuiyan Executive Director

MD. Sujait Ullah Bhuiyan

As we look back over the past year, I am humbled by the resilience, dedication, and compassion demonstrated by the entire SPAR community — from our staff and volunteers to our generous donors and faithful partners. This year has been one of meaningful impact and significant milestones as we continued to serve the most vulnerable communities across Bangladesh.

SPAR's work spans a wide range of humanitarian services that address urgent needs and promote sustainable well-being. Our orphan support programs have provided essential care, education, and opportunities for children who have lost their parents or are otherwise unable to support themselves. Our water relief projects have brought clean, safe water to vulnerable communities, improving health outcomes and overall quality of life. Through initiatives like disability support, livelihood empowerment, and health and well-being drives, we have worked to ensure that every person — regardless of circumstance — can live with dignity. Emergency relief, particularly in times of environmental stress and social hardship, remains at the core of SPAR's operations. In the face of challenges such as floods, water scarcity, and poverty, our teams have mobilized quickly and compassionately to deliver life-saving aid and essential support where it matters most.

This year has been a testament to what can be accomplished when people unite with a shared vision. SPAR's commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable impact has shaped every project we undertook. Our focus has remained clear: ensure that every donor's contribution turns into meaningful change for those we serve. This progress reflects not only our strategic planning and organizational commitment but also the strong culture of collaboration that defines SPAR. We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us — a trust that propels us forward with confidence and responsibility.

We have expanded our operations, strengthened our monitoring systems, and introduced new approaches to meet the evolving needs of vulnerable communities. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our field teams and the generous support of our partners. Their efforts continue to inspire our organization every day. Looking ahead, we are committed to enhancing our programs, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding the scale of our impact so that no one is left behind. We invite you to continue this journey with us — because together, we can bring hope, restore dignity, and create lasting positive change.

As we step into a new year, our goal is to deepen our impact and explore innovative ways to deliver sustainable outcomes. We will keep listening, learning, and improving so that SPAR remains a trusted and effective force for good. Together, we will keep advancing towards a more just and compassionate society.

Fatema Tuz Zohra Programme Manager

Fatema Tuz Zohra

This past year has reaffirmed a truth I see in action every day: when we invest in a woman, we aren't just helping an individual—we are transforming an entire community. As Programme Manager, I have had the profound privilege of standing alongside women as they step into leadership roles, not just within our own project teams, but at the very heart of the villages and neighborhoods we serve. Their resilience isn't just a quiet strength anymore; it is the visible force driving our progress.

We see this transformation woven into the fabric of every initiative. In our Water Well projects, women have shifted from the exhausting daily labor of fetching water to becoming the stewards and decision-makers for these resources. In our Orphan Care work, female mentors provide the steady, compassionate guidance that shapes a child's entire future. And through our Cataract Projects, the impact is deeply personal; when a woman regains her sight, she regains her independence, her dignity, and her place as a pillar of her family.

Beyond direct relief, we have placed a deep emphasis on women's empowerment through skills development. By equipping women with tangible, market-ready expertise, we are witnessing a direct, positive impact on household livelihoods and economic stability. This economic agency is bolstered by our commitment to community awareness on key social issues. By fostering open dialogue and education, we are dismantling barriers and shifting mindsets, ensuring that the progress we make is supported by the community as a whole.

Our Community Kitchens have further proven that women are the best architects of their own collective welfare. They aren't just receiving meals; they are organizing, contributing, and leading the way to ensure no family is left behind. At the same time, our Menstrual Hygiene & Education Program is doing the vital work of breaking silences. By creating safe spaces for honest conversation, we are empowering young girls to embrace their health with confidence rather than shame. What touches me most is that these programs do more than deliver services—they cultivate leaders. We are witnessing a historic shift where women who once lived within the margins are now influencing household decisions, sustaining livelihoods, and mentoring the next generation. This transition—from seeking support to providing leadership—is the heartbeat of sustainable development.

Moving forward, our mission is clear. We aren't just aiming for inclusion; we are striving for empowerment that sticks. We will continue to build pathways where women can lead, innovate, and define the future on their own terms. When a woman rises, she never rises alone—she carries her community with her.
